*The performance of forestry operations in Japan have been partly standardized by Sakai (1987) and Sawaguchi (1996), and their studies were referred to in order to formulate biomass harvest and transport operations. The costs of labor, machine, and fuel, the values of which are basically the same as those used in an earlier study by the author (Yoshioka et al. 2006a), are considered here.
